From the moment of grinding, coffee starts to get stale. After roasting the beans, the beans have to air-out to release gases. You can’t put fresh roasted beans into a sealed plastic cup or they will explode like popcorn.
Our pods let the air out and to protect freshness, they are packed in a special bag with a one-way valve that lets the gasses out but no oxygen in.
